Info about sports pagers

Thinking of getting a sports pager, I have seen some advertised online for $129.00 with no monthly subscription fee ever. Is this standard? Also wondering, what company is good to buy from or are they all the same?

Yub,,,, Verizon has the best Pager available,,,, I think I pay 9.00 a month for it

thats a bit High I know,,, after a year of service you can threaten to leave,,then they will usually lower it to 5 amonth
